SCHUYLER, Neb. (KOLN) The city of Schuyler has asked residents to limit water and sanitary sewer usage as flooding impacts the region.

Jim McGowen, utilities superintendent of Schuyler, told 1011 News that residents are being asked to make the cuts for the next few days.

High flood water from the Platte River has caused flooding in the area, even closing Highway 15, which runs through Schuyler.

McGowen also reminded residents to avoid driving on roads and never travel through standing water.
