Science in Music at Sheridan Elementary

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Music is magic to our ears and this morning kids will have the opportunity to learn about the science behind it all at Sheridan Elementary School's "Science in Music" event from 9am-11am.

One station will show kids how sound waves travel through space by using Oobleck, a non-Newtonian fluid made popular by a Dr. Seuss book. There will be several other "Science in Sound" stations to show students how music moves us.

The event is part of a series made possible through a partnership with Lincoln City Libraries. Each Wednesday, from 9-11 in the morning, Sheridan will host a different themed event throughout the summer break. Kids will have an opportunity to check out books from the library, as well.
