Snow falls in Lincoln causing accidents, slow travel

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The snow has started falling in the Capital City, creating difficult traveling conditions and a number of accidents.

The snow is expected to continue throughout the day on Thursday, with 1-2 inches of accumulation possible.

The snow started to come down in Lincoln around 9 a.m., earlier than anticipated, and the cold weather helped to freeze roads and bridges, causing numerous accidents.

Two accidents took place on Interstate 80 in Lincoln, leading to significant traffic delays.
