State Fair renames cattle barn for Dinsdale Automotive

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) The Nebraska State Fair, along with Fonner Park and Tom Dinsdale Automotive, announced a new partnership today that includes renaming the Cattle Barn and the Cattle Barn Bar to Tom Dinsdale Automotive Cattle Barn and Tom Dinsdale Automotive Barn Bar. The partnership supports events such as livestock activities during Nebraska State Fair, and interim activities held by Fonner Park.

“Tom Dinsdale Automotive is always looking for ways to support our community and state that’s given so much to us,” said Tom Dinsdale, owner of Tom Dinsdale Automotive. Dinsdale continued by saying he looks forward to supporting and working with Fonner Park and Nebraska State Fair for years to come.

The Tom Dinsdale Automotive Cattle Barn and Tom Dinsdale Automotive Barn Bar are available for rent through Fonner Park predominantly from October-July. In 2017, nearly 6,000 head of cattle filled the barn throughout numerous livestock shows and Nebraska State Fair.

Bruce Swihart, Fonner Park chief executive office said “Tom has had a longtime commitment to the community and has been heavily involved in numerous efforts to improve the lives of people in central Nebraska. Tom has also given of his time to Fonner Park and is a past president of the organization.”

“We’ve had the pleasure to partner with Tom Dinsdale Automotive for several years,” added Lori Cox, the new executive director for Nebraska State Fair. “We know with this new partnership Tom Dinsdale Automotive is an investment in our future and we’re humbly honored.”
