Task force arrests two on drug-related charges

LINCOLN, Neb. – Two people were arrested on drug-related charges after taking a parole absconder into custody led to a search warrant being served.

LPD said on Monday around 6 p.m., the Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force contacted Tommy Meyer, 39. Meyer was a parole absconder.

After Meyer tried to run from investigators, he was taken into custody and found to be in possession of 26.4 grams of methamphetamine, police said.

According to LPD, Meyer’s statements led officers to serve a search warrant in the 3200 Block of NW 12th Street.

Officers located Jordan Huettner, 32, while serving the warrant, and also found two glass smoking pipes containing suspected methamphetamine residue, two digital scales, 4 boxes of 9mm ammunition, and .9 grams of methamphetamine.

Meyer was lodged and cited for possession with intent to deliver and resisting arrest.

Huettner was cited and lodged for possession of a controlled substance and three outstanding warrants.
