LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Three suspects led troopers on a high-speed chase into the Air Park area late Wednesday night.

A spokesperson for the Nebraska State Patrol said just before midnight, a trooper noticed a speeding, eastbound Chevy Impala near 8th and N Streets.

The trooper tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver fled, ran multiple red lights, and proceeded toward the Air Park area.

Speeds reached as high as 100 miles per hour, according to NSP.

NSP said spike strips were deployed to stop the vehicle, and when the Impala came to a stop, two occupants of the vehicle fled on foot near NW 42nd Street.

Both were located shortly after, NSP said, and lodged in the Lancaster County Youth Detention Center.

A third occupant was taken to his home and released to a parent.

Less than an ounce of drug paraphernalia was also found in the vehicle.
