LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Snow will continue Tuesday afternoon along with gusty winds and falling temperatures.

Hazardous travel is likely from the freezing precipitation that fell Tuesday morning. It will be extra slick on untreated roads and sidewalks plus bridges and overpasses. Please factor these conditions into your travel times.

North winds increase to 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 40 mph on Tuesday as temperatures fall through the day. Some accumulating snow is also expected on Tuesday with the heaviest (2 to 5" potentially) over eastern Nebraska.

Precipitation should wind down by Tuesday night, but gusty winds and colder temperatures will continue.
