LINCOLN, Neb. -- According to Lincoln Public Works, South Street from 62nd Street to Broadmoore Drive will remain closed to traffic until at least October 12th to repair a broken water main. The break happened around 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
Public works said the break damaged pavement and the city has hired a contractor to repair the street.
During the closure, people can still access residential and business properties. However, drivers are asked to use either 56th Street, A Street and 70th Street to reach their destinations.
Public works said drivers should be prepared for delays in the area.
