Weather cancels first day of state golf

First rounds of Class C, D, boy state golf tourneys cancelled due to weather.

The NSAA announced late Tuesday morning that the first rounds of the Class A boys golf tournament in Norfolk and the Class B tournament in Columbus were also cancelled.

The opening rounds of two boys state golf tournaments are casualties to Tuesday's wet and chilly weather.

The NSAA announced that the opening Tuesday rounds of the Class C tournament in Kearney and the Class D tournament in North Platte were cancelled due to weather.

The two tournaments will revert to a single-day 18-hole championship on Wednesday in both venues. Tee times and pairings will remain the same.

The start of round one for Class A in Norfolk & Class B in Columbus will be delayed until 1 p.m. Another announcement will be made at 11:30 a.m. on whether play will be cancelled for the day.
