The westbound lanes of Interstate 80 have reopened at Mile Marker 380 following a semi-fire, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

The semi fire is just west of the Milford interchange.

According to the Seward County Sheriff's Office, a driver called in and said the brakes of a semi-trailer were on fire and the vehicle was pulling over.

SCSO said the driver of the semi-trailer was able to get out of the vehicle with no injuries.

According to NSP Trooper Cook on Twitter, traffic was "near a standstill moving very slowly through heavy thick smoke."

Cook said the cleanup will likely take a while.
