LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - If you want to get out before winter weather hits, there are plenty of events happening to kickoff your weekend in Lincoln.

Here's this week's Friday Fast Facts from the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Railyard Ice Rink Grand Opening
Glide on down for the opening night of The Railyard's Ice Rink. In addition to kicking off this year's skating season, opening night will feature a Holiday Fair and a special skating performance from UNL.
When: Friday- 5 p.m. to midnight
Where: The Cube
Cost: Free admission, skate rentals: $9 adults (12 & up), $6 kids

NovemBEARD's Brews and Beards Festival
Enjoy unlimited tastings from Nebraska craft brewers, food and fun while the NovemBEARD participants wow you with unfurled facial hair, grown or crafted, in three compelling categories.
When: Friday- 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Where: Lincoln Firefighters Hall
Cost: $40 at the door (21 and older event)
Holidays in the Haymarket
This is a great way to get you in the holiday spirit. Come and enjoy the evening with a horse and sleigh ride. Santa will be strolling the area, as well as entertainment on 7th and P streets in front of the Creamery Building.
When: Friday- 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: Historic Haymarket
Cost: Free

A Little House Christmas
Ma, Pa, Mary and Laura Ingalls gather the whole family together to celebrate the holidays. When a natural disaster strikes, it seems like Santa won't be able to make it. But Christmas is a time for miracles. "A Little House Christmas" is based on the series of books by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
When: Friday & Saturday- 7:30 p.m.
Where: Lincoln Community Playhouse
Cost: $15 (No children under 4 admitted to performances)

Holiday Open House
Come and celebrate winter and the holiday season on the prairie with activities for the whole family, great and green holiday decorating ideas, live music, snacks, cider and more.
When: Friday & Saturday- 7:30 p.m.
Where: Spring Creek Prairie Audobon Center
Cost: Free

Welcome All Wonders
Five choirs from the UNL's Glenn Korff School of Music will combine for the annual massed surround sound event for a holiday concert. They will perform familiar carols and carols from all remote places of the globe. You will have the opportunity to join in with numerous audience sing-alongs with traditional holiday carols.
When: Sunday- 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
