LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Do you have plans for the first weekend of 2019? If not, here's some ideas from the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau in this week's Friday Fast Facts.

Midwest Woodblock: Textures of Place
The show features artists from a range of backgrounds; economic, racial, age, sexual orientation and experience with the medium. Each artist gives voice to part of our community, as a whole all the work will start conversation amongst itself and bring the larger narrative in view of what the sensitivity of the artists' hand offers us- an awareness to the different Midwestern experiences transcribed as texture and marks.
When: Friday- 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., opening reception 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: LUX Center for the Arts
Cost: Free

2019 Nitro Arenacross Nationals
Are you ready for this jaw-dropping show that features gravity-defying, magnificent entertainment for the whole family? This adrenaline-charged show will have top riders from around the country competing on over 150 truckloads of perfectly manicured dirt on the best Arenacross tracks in the nation.
When: Friday & Saturday- doors open at 5:30 p.m., show at 7 p.m.
Where: Lancaster Event Center
Cost: Ticket prices vary

The Comedy Loft presents Eliot Chang
Get ready to laugh. Eliot Chang, originally from NYC and now based in Los Angeles, has been on two of his own Comedy Central Half Hour specials, E!'s "Chelsea Lately" and Showtime.
When: Friday & Saturday- 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
Where: Comedy Loft
Cost: $15 advance reservations, additional charges the day of the show

Winter Walkabout
Bring the whole family out and look for tracks and signs of native wildlife to start the New Year. Find out how prairie animals survive the winter during the outdoor guided nature stroll along the tall grass trails.
When: Saturday- 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Where: Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center
Cost: Free, donations are welcomed

Dynasty Combat Sports presents Season's Beatings
Dynasty Combat Sports returns to Lincoln to kick the year off with several amateur titles on the line. The main event will feature Lincoln's own Dwight Joseph. Come out and watch all the action.
When: Saturday- doors open at 6 p.m., event starts at 7:15 p.m.
Where: Pinnacle Bank Arena
Cost: Ticket prices vary

Husker Wrestling vs. Northwestern
The holidays are over and the Huskers are ready to resume Big Ten play. NU is set to host the Northwestern Wildcats. Come out and cheer on the team.
When: Sunday- 2 p.m.
Where: Bob Devaney Sports Center
Cost: $5 adult general admission, $3 youth and senior general admission, free for youth 6 & under
