What's happening this weekend in Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Enjoy warmer temperatures this weekend by getting out of your house and heading to some fun events.

Here's a look at some of them from the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau in this week's Friday Fast Facts.

Boat, Sport & Travel Show
For 50 years, this has been a must-attend event for outdoor enthusiasts and sportsmen. Lincoln's "three shows in one" features over 150,000 square feet of exhibition space on one level. Make sure to check out the seminars and entertainment attractions.
When: Friday, noon to 9 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Lancaster Event Center
Cost: $10 adults, $5 youth (ages 5 to 12), free for children 4 & under, free admission for veterans on Friday

Husker Baseball Fan Fest
Fans this is your chance to meet the 2019 Husekrs and get autographs. The first 1,000 fans will receive free water and hot dogs. There will also be games for all to enjoy. The end of the night will feature team introductions.
When: Friday, 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Hawks Championship Center
Cost: Free

Harlem Globetrotters
They are known for their amazing feats of basketball, humor and acts of goodwill on and off the court. They have always been about the fans, but this year everything they do will bring fans closer to the action, more than ever before.
When: Friday, 7 p.m.
Where: Pinnacle Bank Arena

The King and I
The musical tells the story of the unconventional and tempestuous relationship that develops between the King of Siam and Anna Leonowens, a British schoolteacher whom the modernist king, in an imperialistic world, brings to Siam to teach his many wives and children.
When: Friday, 7:30 p.m., Saturday, 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Where: Lied Center for Performing Arts
Cost: $24.50 to $79

Dillon's Auto Boxing Championships
In the last 20 years this is one of the largest amateur boxing events in Nebraska. The event will be featuring top pro prospects from around the Midwest. There are 18 bouts scheduled.
When: Saturday, doors open at 5:30 p.m., event starts at 6:15 p.m.
Where: Royal Grove
Cost: $20 advance, $25 day of event (if remaining)

LSO Presents Adventures of Melvin the Explorer
Join Melvin as he, the conductor and the orchestra seek the Golden Baton, which will help them make beautiful music. The explorers will ttravel to different lands, learn about rhythm, melody and harmony and evade the scary Monkey King. Join them one hour before the concert for face painting, a musical petting zoo, crafts and other activities.
When: Sunday, 2 p.m.
Where: NWU's O'Donnell Auditorium
Cost: $10 adults, $5 youth 17 & under
