Woman cited for altering tips at Lincoln bar

LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln Police have cited a 24-year-old woman for reportedly altering tips on credit card receipts at a Lincoln bar.

LPD said on Dec. 6 around 8 p.m, officers were called to Fox Bar and Grill, located at 1245 Libra Drive.

After talking to the owner, they were told the waitress had been altering the tip line of credit card receipts, police said.

The owner provided police with evidence showing she had altered 25 receipts totaling $264.03, according to LPD.

Officers cited and released the woman for theft by deception.
