Lincoln Police still searching for two men involved in shooting

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Police continue to search for suspects in a shooting Wednesday that left a woman with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police said 26-year-old Linda Sonthixay showed up to a hospital Wednesday around 11 a.m. after being shot.

Sonthixay told police she was at her home near 17th and B streets when two men entered the apartment without consent. The victim said one of the men shot her and they stole two cell phones.

Police said there were multiple people in the apartment but some of them left before officers arrived.

Witnesses reported seeing two men in hooded sweatshirts getting into a white Honda Civic.

Police said Sonthixay's injuries are non life-threatening.

Police said the shooting was likely a targeted attack and not random.
