Woman tries to discard meth while being arrested

LINCOLN, Neb. – A 26-year-old was taken into custody on Wednesday after she tried to discard a baggie of meth while being arrested.

On Sept. 12 around 5 p.m., officers conducted a stop in the 2700 Block of N 11th Street of Sarah Baldwin, 26.

Baldwin had two broadcasts out for her arrests for theft in Lincoln, and an active warrant out of Douglas County.

Baldwin was taken into custody and attempted to throw a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine on the ground next to the police cruiser.

Her vehicle was searched and over 60 grams of meth, baggies, and scales were located.

Baldwin was arrested for possession of meth with intent to deliver, tampering with physical evidence, possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and she was cited for no operator’s license and improper turn.
