The Nebraska baseball team defeated Michigan Thursday night at Hawks Field, 5-2. The Huskers scored three runs in the 7th inning to take the lead, including a pair coming in on an Alex Henwood bunt attempt. Nebraska freshman Cam Chick added an RBI single in the much-needed win for the Huskers.

Matt Waldron, pitching at Hawks Field for the final time, worked into the 7th inning. He allowed just two hits while striking out three batters.

With the win, Nebraska improves to 27-19 overall and closes the gap in the Big Ten race. The Huskers now sit just 1.5 games back of the Wolverines.
