GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — Hurtis Chinn has been with the Nebraska Danger since the franchise was born in 2011. The Miami native was on the Danger's inaugural roster. Now, he's the club's head coach.
Chinn was promoted during the off-season when Mike Davis left for the Canadian Football League. He had previously served as the Danger's offensive coordinator.
Chinn is just the second head coach in franchise history.
“The players are excited, which keeps me smiling walking around the office in a cheerful manner,” Chinn said. “I hope the fans are excited about it, the ownership is, the coaches are loving it so far."
Chinn will make his head coaching debut on Thursday when the Danger play in Salt Lake City.
