Easley accepts Nebraska walk-on offer

Some compare Charlie Easley's playing style to Fred Hoiberg's. Now, Easley will play for Hoiberg after accepting an offer to walk on at Nebraska. The All-State guard from Lincoln Pius X gave Hoiberg his verbal pledge on Monday following a record-setting career with the Thunderbolts.

Easley averaged 23 points as a senior while leading Pius to the Class B championship.

Easley says he was initially recruited by Tim MIles' staff at Nebraska. However, it wasn't until after meeting with Hoiberg that he made his college decision. Easley says being able to play for the Huskers, a team he grew up watching, is a great honor.
