The Nebraska women's basketball team handed Kansas its first loss of the season, 58-52, Wednesday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Hannah Whitish and Taylor Kissinger each had 11 points for the Huskers. Both Whitish and Kissinger hit 3-point shots in the closing minutes of the first half to give the Big Red a 7-point lead. Nebraska didn't look back in the final 20 minutes, as the Huskers held off the former Big 12 foe.
With the win, Nebraska's record improves to 3-6. Wednesday was the Huskers' first home game in three weeks.
