NWU opens season with 143-point outburst

Nebraska Wesleyan won its season opener Thursday night and nearly made history in the process. The Prairiewolves fell one point shy of the school record with a 143-point outburst against Grinnell College.

Ryan Garver, the reigning IIAC Player of the Year, led NWU with 22 points and 11 assists. Nate Bahe added 21 points on 10-of-10 shooting.

The Prairiewolves shot 70 percent as a team.
