Isaiah Roby is currently undecided on whether he'll return to Nebraska for his senior season. Roby has declared for the NBA Draft, but has not hired an agent. He says he'll discuss his options with his family and make a decision before the May 29th deadline.
Roby received positive feedback while at the NBA Scouting Combine last week. Many experts took note of the Husker forward's skills, especially during the two scrimmages in which he participated. Roby scored 10 and 15 points, respectively.
Roby is projected as a late first-round to mid-second round draft pick.
"I'm excited to see where I land," Roby said. "I think physically I'm there. Athletically I'm there. The good thing is, you can't teach those things. What you can teach is skill. I'm looking forward to working on my skill... that way I can be a starter in the league for many years to come."
Roby says he's been in constant communication with new Nebraska head coach Fred Hoiberg regarding his decision.
"Obviously, he knows how the NBA works," Roby said of Hoiberg. "He wants me to come back. He told me, 'I want you back for sure. But if you have the chance to make something happen for you and your family, I'll be the first to congratulate you on that."
