Seven years after his firing as Nebraska's men's basketball coach, Doc Sadler is back on staff with the Huskers. Sadler was recently added to Fred Hoiberg's staff as an assistant coach.

Sadler says he is happy to be back in Lincoln, which is a place he grew fond of from 2006 to 2012. Under Hoiberg, Sadler's emphasis will be coaching the Huskers' defense. Sadler, who spent the past five seasons as the head coach at Southern Miss, says he's enjoying a focused role and less responsibility.

Sadler will be making $320,000 annually.
