Our Town Fairbury Community Events


  • Wanted: Musicians: August 20, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Wanted: Musicians to join the Fairbury Community Band practice each Monday evening from 7-8 p.m. Rock Island Depot Museum. All Ages Welcome. For more information call: 402-239-8986.
  • Farmer’s Market: August 22, 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm. Fresh, locally grown produce, baked goods and handcrafted items every Wednesday at 4:30 pm @ parking lot at 1501 K Street (at the corner of Highways 15 & 136 north of Ray’s Applemarket). The Wednesday Fairbury Farmers Market features farm fresh produce, baked goods, jams, jellies.
  • JayHusker Races – Kids Night: August 25, 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm. JayHusker Racing ~ Jefferson County Speedway. Kids Night – Bicycle Giveaway! Winged Outlaw 600, Non-winged Mini Sprint Legend 600/750 & Restrictor 600. Hot laps 6:30 p.m. Races at 7 p.m. Admission $8 Adult, $4 Kids, Kids under 5 FREE. Concessions by Fairbury Optimist Club and Ice Cold Beer served by Side Trek Bar & Grill. Also due to insurance reasons we will have to start charging kids under 5, $15 to be in the pits. Our insurance states that if they are not paying to be in the pits it wont be liable, so therefore we have to start charging them. We apologize for any inconvenience.
