Lincoln, NE -- Bobby Brown has been named manager of the Lincoln Saltdogs after Ken Oberkfell stepped down for family reasons.

Oberkfell led the Saltdogs to the American Association Championship Series in 2014.

Brown comes to the Saltdogs after managing Amarillo from 2013-2015. He had been hired as Lincoln's hitting coach in November.

Joining Brown on the staff is pitching coach Jim Haller, who returns to the Saltdogs. Haller was Lincoln's pitching coach and interim manager during the 2008 season.

Haller, an Omaha native and product of Creighton Prep, was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first round of the 1970 MLB Draft.
