WarHorse gaming warns public of online gaming scam
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - WarHorse Gaming is warning people about online advertisements promoting a fake mobile app that falsely claims to be affiliated with the company.
These ads direct users to download an app that appears legitimate, but is in no way connected to WarHorse Gaming.
A WarHorse gaming spokesperson said it is important to note that online gaming is not legal in the state of Nebraska. Any platform suggesting otherwise is misrepresenting the law and potentially putting users at risk.
“We take the trust of our guests and the integrity of our brand very seriously,” said Lance Morgan, CEO of WarHorse Gaming. “These fraudulent ads are deceptive, dangerous, and illegal. We want to make it absolutely clear that WarHorse is not involved in any form of online gaming. We urge everyone to avoid these scams and report any suspicious activity.”
WarHorse Gaming is actively working with the various digital platforms to have these misleading advertisements removed.
