Nebraska men’s basketball accepts invite to College Basketball Crown

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Nebraska Men’s Basketball has accepted an invitation to the College Basketball Crown and will play Arizona State in the first round. Tipoff will be Monday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. central. The game will be televised on FS1.

This is the inaugural College Basketball Crown Tournament and it will be held in Las Vegas, NV, from March 31 to April 6.

The Huskers did not receive an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament after finishing the season with a 17-14 record. Nebraska lost their last 5 games of the season and missed the Big Ten Tournament which ultimately cost them a spot in March Madness.

Fred Hoiberg was adamant about continuing the season in post season play regardless if it was not the NCAA Tournament. This invitation will give Big Ten first team player Brice Williams and Senior Juwan Gary at least one more game in a Nebraska uniform.
